Who doesn’t love Reese’s? I saw on one of the morning shows that I rarely get to watch, that Reese’s Peanut Butter cups are America’s favorite Halloween candy, and I TOTALLY agree! Ever since I first tried my first peanut butter cup, I became ADDICTED. In fact, when I studied abroad in Germany in college, my now mother-in-law sent me packages of Reese’s as they don’t have them in Germany (I know, I do NOT know how they survive without them😉 )
Anyway, my mom got this recipe from a friend a long time ago, and now I’ve adopted it as “my go-to” recipe. Anytime I am asked to bring something to an event or family function, I bring these. In fact, I make them for my husband to bring to work from time-to-time and his co-workers will ask when I’ll make them again. The best part is, they are SO easy and incredibly delicious.
All you need is a package of brownie mix, vegetable oil, eggs, water and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Step 1: Make the brownie mix according to the directions on the box. It doesn’t matter what brownie mix you choose.
Step 2: Unwrap 12 Reese’s and place 12 cupcake liners in a cupcake/muffin sheet
Step 3: Pour the brownie batter into the cupcake liners until they are about 1/2-2/3 full.
Step 4: After you have poured brownie batter into each cupcake tin, then, stick one Reese’s into each. Press it down so that brownie batter completely covers the Reese’s.
Bake at 350 degrees between 18-22 minutes, depending on how gooey you like it. My husband prefers them pretty gooey, aka under-baked so you may want to stick a tooth-pick in at 18 minutes and then try again a couple minutes later🙂
(After the Reese’s have been placed in each cupcake/muffin holder)
I hope you and your family enjoy this recipe as much as we do🙂 Happy Baking!
I love before and after pictures and I love seeing other bloggers house tours. Sadly, I wasn’t thinking and I didn’t take pictures during the walk through as we were looking at homes, which I totally regret. I highly recommend to take pictures to future home buyers or as soon as you get the keys as it is so much fun to see the progress you make. I apologize for the bad quality of these images. Anyways, here are some pictures that were on the real estate listing for our home when we purchased it:
Again, I apologize for the size/quality of pictures. But you can see that the house was lacking in character, color, and overall design. However, as soon as we walked in we saw such potential and we absolutely LOVED the slate fireplace.
I wanted a color to bring out the beautiful slate fireplace that’s is why we decided to go with blue (plus I love blues and grays). Since moving in, in 2013 we have had this living room in many different configurations. These pictures show how the room is currently arranged. I love having the TV on top of the fireplace as I feel like it makes the fireplace more of a focal point. Unfortunately, the wiring wasn’t meant for having a TV placed there, and that is why I have so many candles and other pieces on the mantel otherwise there would be tons of exposed wires. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hide these wires besides putting candles, frames and plants in front of them?
I created this wall with print from Etsy (JettyPrintables) and purchased the frames from Ikea. The mirror is from Michaels. Since we live across the street from a lake and love the nautical/water themes I used this coral design.
One of the disadvantages to this house is the lack of an entryway. As soon as you walk in you enter into the living room and straight ahead are stairs. By having the couch’s back towards the door in some sort of way gives a little separation, but obviously not much. In our next home I would love an entryway. As a first time home buyer I didn’t realize the importance of this.
Our living room has changed many times since we have moved in, but I really like the set up now. And if anyone has any ideas of how to “create” an entryway I would love to hear your suggestions!
Hi! I’m Jenifer Gould, the girl behind Heart of Gould. I’m a 25 year old, wife, mom of two, puppy mom of 1, homeowner and teacher. I enjoy throwing parties (think birthday parties and wedding showers), decorating, trying new pinterest recipes (quick, easy and healthy are my favorite), and working out (trying to get back into shape after baby #2.
My daughter, Ella is 2 and Luke is 3 months old. I have a wonderful husband, Alex. Before I had Luke, I taught social studies at a high school outside of Detroit. After I had Luke, we decided that it was best for our little family, that I stay home. Even though I stay home, I was able to find an online teaching job, which I love. I truly love teaching and feel so blessed to be able to stay home with my children and continue teaching part-time, truly the best of both worlds🙂
We have done SO much work to our home since purchasing it in August of 2013. I will be showing some of that progress and change on this blog. We closed on our home exactly one week before Ella was born. Crazy, I know. We literally painted the inside of our house top to bottom in that week before Ella was born. Since then, we have knocked down walls, built walls, reconfigured rooms and are currently re-doing our second bathroom. I’m so excited to share these changes and progress with you!
Welcome to Heart of Gould, I’m Jenifer Gould! In the last three years I have graduated from Grand Valley State University, got married to my wonderful husband, Alex, worked full time as a high school teacher, bought a house, adopted a dog, had two amazing children and started teaching online so that I could stay home with our kids. I know, that’s a lot of change in a short period of time. However, I wouldn’t change the way it happened for the world. These past three years have been filled with so many life changing memories and events and I feel like life is going by SO fast. That is where the start of this blog comes in. I want to document these special times so that one day when I look back on the years, I can read and remember so many special memories that have been made.
On this blog I will talk about many different things from, decorating, to recipes to being a mom and a wife. I’m so excited to be starting on this blogging journey!
